Author Guidelines

Clear methods. Sound evidence. A meaningful contribution.

Manuscript submissions are not yet open. JMIAS is recruiting its founding editors and reviewers. The guidance below is preliminary; final requirements will be published before submissions open.

1. Establish the contribution

Explain what is new, how it was evaluated, and why the result matters for machine intelligence or an applied system. Read the journal's aims and scope before preparing a manuscript.

2. Prepare a clear manuscript

Write in clear English. Prepare a concise title, informative abstract, keywords, and an organized main text covering the research question, related work, methods, results, discussion, conclusions, and references. A review article should explain its selection and synthesis methods.

3. Make the work assessable

Describe datasets, experimental settings, model configurations, baselines, metrics, and limitations. Explain how data and code can be accessed, or state legitimate restrictions. Support claims with appropriate evidence and comparisons.

4. Prepare supporting information

Use readable figures and tables with descriptive captions, accurate references, and appropriate acknowledgements. Prepare declarations on funding, competing interests, author contributions, data or code availability, ethics approvals where applicable, and substantive use of generative AI.

5. Check back before submitting

The peer review model, submission formatting requirements, licensing terms, and any publication charges are still to be determined. Please wait for the official call for papers before uploading a manuscript.
